🛡️ How to stay safe when meeting people online
- Never send money to someone you have only met online — especially for travel, emergencies, or "unlocking" an inheritance.
- Do a reverse image search on their photos (Google Images / Yandex) before trusting them.
- Insist on a live video call; scammers refuse or have "broken cameras".
- If you believe you're the victim of a romance scam, stop contact, report it at Report a Scam, and report to your bank and the SAPS immediately.
